At 5:42 on April 16, 2024, an A330 all-cargo plane from Mexico City, fully loaded with approximately 54.6 tons of cross-border e-commerce cargo, took off from Wuxi Shuofang Airport to Mexico City, marking the first round trip from Wuxi to Mexico City. The freight route was successfully opened. This route is also the first route in Jiangsu Province to Latin America.

It is understood that the newly launched cargo route from Wuxi to Mexico City will be operated by Aeromexico Cargo. It is planned to operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with a one-way flight time of approximately 22 hours and 50 minutes.

The opening of the Mexico route has greatly improved the air logistics timeliness of goods from inside and outside Jiangsu Province to Central America and Latin America. At present, the exports of this route are mainly cross-border e-commerce goods. It is estimated that the number of cross-border e-commerce goods per flight is about 3,000 pieces, and the number of tickets can reach more than 100,000. Imported goods are mainly general goods such as auto parts and accessories, and seafood and fruits are expected to increase in the future.
